fair(ly) fun...

hi from the county fair today!
ian was talking about riding the ferris wheel all week!
he loved the motorcycles...

and the helicopters too...
and the race cars got the biggest smiles...
even tried a crazy slide w/ mom...

heres ians thoughts about livestock...
so much to see and think about,
in the fun meets freaky world of fairs...
but the ferris wheel? that was a definate NO!

ian learned this new word at the beach today!
we had a great day in the sunshine!

friday nite street fest...

ian attempted his first wall climb last night at
the street fest...
burnt hot dogs ck
cheap wine ck
local bands ck

first wall climb...priceless!

ian, you are growing up so fast!


spent yesterday evening at ians place,
and he took this shot of his rockstar digs...

bunnies...
lots of soft bunnies for easter...

ian doesn't know it, but this one will be in his easter basket!

got ians hair cut yesterday

at ck out lester said "it'll be $10.00"
so i paid with (what i thought was) a $20...
told the girl to give me five back, then rethought it
and said..."you know what, just give it to lester"

as i approached my car, out flies lester saying
"do you know what you did"
me: oh....(smiles) yeah, i want you to have it,
you"re always so good with ian, we appreciate it.
lester: are you sure?
me: absolutely
lester gives me a big hug goodbye...

flash forward to dinner out with my daughter...
me when the check arrives: i've got it!
i reach in my bag for the $50... that i had..
or er, ummm...yeah...are you getting where this is going..
and i pulled out the lone remaining bill...a $20.00.

thats right folks, i tipped the stylist $40. on a $10. haircut

lunchtime sanctuary...

work had us downtown again...

tried the newly reopened "sanctuary diner" on eola ave.


he is just studying the components of the sanctuary burger:
cheese, mushrooms, bacon AND a fried egg...yes...he did!

i love our working lunchtimes!

weekend finds....

saw the space shuttle launch tonight from titusville ..

ian so excited to see and hear his first launch..
he was giving thumbs up, "you rock dudes", waving
wildly and replayed the excitement all the way home.
