and how lucky these guys are to have such

a beautiful farm to live on

owner elaine loves her babies

 i think we all fell in love with the barn

 jordan loves horses

hopefully we'll get her riding soon

maybe miss elaine would adopt her!!

 after everyone warmed up and calmed down

miss elaine pulled out the hay buckets

and the love-fest began

 elaine names all the miniatures by theme every year

Danny Veltri won Season 5 of Hell's Kitchen. He became Sous Chef under Stephen Kalt at Fornelletto at the Borgata Hotel Casino and Spa in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Originally, he was supposed to be the Head Chef at another restaurant built at the Casino. When he didn’t become Head Chef, Danny quit and began consulting. He then created a catering company called Back From Hell Catering, poking at his experience in "Hell's Kitchen.” He then joined with a group of investors that wanted to create a surf bar with food. He is now Chef of the Gnarly Surf Bar & Grill near the Intracoastal Waterway in Central Florida.

 we hit the south end

where private homes sit right on the ocean

well

 mostly vaca rentals that were closed up today

 found ourselves a shady spot 

under a tiki deck

 had ourselves a picnic on the beach rocks

 ian made friends with kids

who had a floating trampoline

ok

you KNOW it was good!

  the architect of this home has built

several similar homes along NSB

curvy roof lines is his thing

boogie boarding

friends with benefits

greek salad at "manny's" beachside

a stop at the playground

an ice-cream for the ride home

another nice beach day :)

saturday we hit the

NAPLES BEACH CLUB

more old florida - casual  style

no matter where you look

something to cool the eyes

loved this unusual palm

with huge pom seed pods

underneath a sleeping baby in a swaying hammock

saturday afternoon we moved back to

vanderbilt beach

and sat ourselves right in the midst of

a huge party of 20 somethings

loud music, LOTS of drinking

commraderie, friendship

oh, and nearly sunk this boat

so drunk and happy

sunday was ten hours of heaven

gulf waters perfect, dolphins jumping
sand dollars the size of my hand
 grillling under the shade of giant sea grapes

stayed until  sunset

monday we ate good meals

i had a key west bag & bake

shared pino gris bought in alsace region of france

and watched another
beautiful sunset!!!
